I've tried to create as complete a walkthrough as I could. I'm sure there are
a lot of things still hidden from me, though. If so, please send me a mail to

0) Choose the main path:
0a) look
0b) cock crossbow, shoot prey, look (=> you have wounded the Wumpus)

1) Get down into the pit:
0a) case =>
    1a) left (=> deep slash in upper arm)
    1b) right, down, look at arc, look at white thing, 
        (take bolt, load bolt,) cock crossbow, shoot claw, 
        take rope, jump, swing, jump (=> palms are deeply gashed)
0b) case =>
    1a) left (=> deep slash in upper arm), inventory
    1b) right, down, look at arc, look at white thing, 
        (take bolt, load bolt,) cock crossbow, shoot claw, 
        take rope, jump, swing, inventory (=> palms are deeply gashed)

2) Stop the bleeding: 
1a) case => look at shape, take clothes, bandage arm with cloth
1b) case => look at shape, take clothes, bandage palm with cloth

3) Crawl to the cave: 
3a) down, forward (11 times)
3a) down, forward (8 times), back, forward

4) Find the beast: 
0a) case => 
    I) Smell for the beast: pursue the smell until you reach the Top of Slope
    II) Wound the beast: (take bolt, load bolt,) cock bow, shoot prey
    III) Meet the Wumpus: down, inventory, forward, back
0b) case => go where the bats gather until you reach the pool of blood,
    then forward, back

5) Get the bats' attention: take off bandage, wait until several bats come
   fluttering around you

6) Attack the beast with the bats: forward, wait until the swarm descends

7) Escape: up, up

By the way, my first solution was 0a-1b-2-3a-4-5-6-7 .
